London, Queen Mary's Garden

Regents Park is one of the Royal parks of London. It contains the Regents University London and the London Zoo. The park, which is 410 acres, consists mainly of open parkland although there are a number of gardens of interest particularly the beautiful Queen Mary's Garden.

London is the capital and most populous city of England. The central city of London, also know as the square mile, is only 2.9 square kilometers and only has a permanent population of 7,000 (2011) but approximately 300,000 people commute into London on a daily basis. The greater London area, consisting of 32 boroughs, is now referred to as London and has a population of just over 8.3 million. It is thought that the origins of London date back to the establishment of a trading port, known as Londinium, by the Romans in 47 AD.
