IKEA sink plumbing "hack"
Here are two issues I ran into installing my IKEA LILLÅNGEN sink and DALSKÄR faucet.
Problem: I needed more length on the tailpipe. Picked up a standard American tailpipe extension and discovered the supplied IKEA PVC was either proprietary or European/Metric-sized -- so the fittings didn't work w/ the standard American PVC.
Solution: Picked up the rubber coupler to connect the two different sized PVC (oddly enough, as you can see, the American extension fit into the IKEA trap just fine)
Problem: I also needed length on the supplied, non-standard flexible coming out of the IKEA faucet.
Solution: Picked up a brass compression fitting of the proper size and a small piece of flexible to go down to the shut-off valve.
Drop a comment w/ any questions beyond the explanation here or in the picture.
