Ghostly

Two sassafras leaves hanging from the same sassafras tree, each leaf different in its own way...

The unique sassafras tree has a variety of leaves, often with the four different leaf variations occurring on the same branch. There can be one lobe like in the lower left of the image, two lobes which look like either a right or left mitten, or three lobes like the upper right. The trees turn a pretty colour in the autumn, with yellow, orange and red often on the same tree. One of our local parks has a stand of sassafras trees which are rare in Canada. They are part of the Carolinian forest and southern Ontario is on the Northern edge of this zone.

I used a little rotation and cropping in this image to get the feel of ghostly movement, since Halloween is soon to be here.

"Crazy Tuesday" theme is "Two of a kind but not the same"

Have a Happy Crazy Tuesday! 😀
