Bromeliad

Bromeliads are a type of "epiphyte"; a plant the grow on another plant. Rain water gathers in the the vunnel shape of the plant and offers a perfect home for mosquitos and various types of tree frogs. Many are born as tagpoles in these plants and live their whole lives without ever visiting the forest floor.
