2018 Wish List....so far
First, I own none of these pictures, but they all represent the huge hole my wallet will have next year.
1. The Faces of Adele Giftset by Integrity Toys. Last year, I was very, very close to joining the W Club for the first time. Then I dismissed the option. Now, I wish I hadn’t! Had I’d known this glorious doll set would be one of the exclusives, I would’ve purchased a membership without question. Adele, without question, is my favorite character out of the Fashion Royalty line, and this set is stunning! In the immortal words of Rachel Zoe, “ I die. I die!” 😭 Don’t get me wrong. I’m still getting this giftset as soon as it pops up on the secondary market. I may have to sell a kidney to afford it, but it will be mine.
2. Vixen from the DC Multiverse 2018 wave. I’ll admit it. I didn’t know anything about Vixen until the JLU Unlimited animated series premiered on Cartoon Network years ago. However, I became a quick fan, and while there have been a handful of Vixen figures released through the years, this most current inception looks to be the best. Better yet, Mari McCabe is sporting her current costume and natural hair!
3. Psylocke- Hasbro Marvel Legends 2018. I already have the Psylocke figure from SDCC 2012, and I figured that Hasbro would just repackage that mold in a repainted version. Wrong! Not only is she a new sculpt, but she comes with psy blades and her butterfly psychic effect!
4. Storm- Hasbro Marvel Legends 2018. Well, with the Black Panther film coming out soon, I figured that Hasbro would release another version of Storm. I even thought she’d be in the Black Panther wave because of her connection to him in the comic universe, but she wasn’t. This past year, I was able to get the Mohawk Storm from the X-Men Marvel Legends Jubilee wave. Honestly, I never cared for Storm’s Mohawk look, but that figure grew on me. Anyways, I was really hoping that Hasbro would finally make a First Appearance or 90s Gold Team Storm, ( heck, even the late 80s Outback Storm or early 90s pixie cut Storm),but this version seems cool. Hopefully she’ll sells well, and another version of Storm will appear soon. I mean Black Widow has, what, 8 or 9 versions? For years, Storm was the most visible female hero within Marvel Comics marketing and merchandising. She needs more than Mohawk versions. C’mon, Hasbro. Give us more versions of Storm
