Martin Shaw reprises his ever popular and critically acclaimed role of John Deed, the judge who is not afraid to question the establishment, in a new series for BBC ONE. Shaw's returning co-stars include Jenny Seagrove as the dedicated barrister Jo Mills, Caroline Langrishe as Deed's trouble-stirring ex-wife George and Sir Donald Sinden as his ex-father-in-law, 'old school' judge Sir Joseph Channing.
The eponymous judge has yet another female to deal with in his working environment as his rebellious daughter, Charlie (Louisa Clein), has followed in his footsteps and is embarking on a legal career of her own. She is working as a junior to Deed's sometimes lover, Jo, doing vital research and interviews. However, Charlie finds it hard to differentiate between home and work life, and Deed, her father and Mr Justice Deed the Judge...
