Lost Under the Stars
Dear Nam Ing, we never met, but I was there when you passed. I've stood on the place where you slipped, and I thought to myself, this is one of the most dangerous places I've ever been. I will always try to keep your memory close to my heart. Although we never met, I know you. We've stood side by side in spirit. I will remember you always when I'm deep in the back country taking risks, and I will moderate with your spirit in mind.
Not far from this location the night before @naminou fell 300 feet at Boardman to his death. It has weighed on my mind ever since.
In regards to the photo it is a two photo composite stitch with this composition in mind. One taken at astro twilight for the foreground, and another taken from the same spot a few hours later to capture the night sky. It was also completely shot in jpg on accident (new camera), but came out very well considering this fact.
