Mossy Rainbow

This one was sort of an unexpected winner for me. If I had known it would turn out so beautifully I probably would have spent more time at this spot working out the composition. The thing with photographing Forest is the entire place is mostly disorganized chaos and finding the compositions or patterns that come together, in my opinion, requires great skill and a little bit of luck. Also, frankly, just getting sun in the Hoh rainforest requires quite a lot of luck in late fall/winter. Also, I found a tent right here, a one man "Lynx" tent on the ground in the leaves, and it was brown, so if you're missing your tent... feel free to message me. I hauled it out of this beautiful old growth forest for you.
