In a matter of minutes here, the sky will go dark. Weather comes in faster than you can imagine in this part of the world. There is very little warning, and it began to snow becoming very cold. There is a little town at the base of the mountain you see in this image, it helps give an idea of the scale of this mountain. It's unbelievable because many of us have seen nothing like this.
The pass is directly behind me, about a days travel. We walked upward about eight days to get to this pass, where most places in the world you're likely to make the mountain pass in a day and be back down. There is really nothing like this place in the world.
