The Harvest Begins

A friend from the area told me that the Palouse was a beautiful place. I've heard about it and I was thinking of going. Although she wasn't sure if the harvest came early this year due to the rain she said I should go. Not knowing what to expect, I went and checked out Palouse falls, then began driving around in the green hills to the south of Spokane.

 

Looking for the perfect spot and driving down random dirt roads led me to a hill where I thought maybe I could get a better vantage point. As I drove around and up everywhere I looked seemed ripe with opportunity given the right light. And in fact even without the right light it was simply stunning in all directions.

 

I'm glad I checked this area out. It's interesting to see this part of the country and I've added this to my list of beautiful places.
