I've deeply embraced this rule as I've moved forward in my photography. Although the interesting occurance that's transcended Galen is the technology that's boosted our ability to capture moments previously impossible with film. Another quote by Galen was incredibly fortuitous as he didn't have anywhere near the dynamic range of modern insurments... "I began to realize that the camera sees the world differently than the human eye and that sometimes those differences can make a photograph more powerful than what you actually observed."
