Maddog Murph
Mesa's Star
It's kind of an amazing thing that almost any night of the summer, prior to sunrise, there are photographers piling up in front of this place and jockeying for the best spot or angle. We were the first here because we arrived in the middle of the night to shoot the milky way. The edge of that arch plummets straight down, and walking across the Mesa arch is probably a lot more dangerous than it looks. I'd say we lucked out a bit on my trip here as we got light cloud cover, and plenty of room for the sun to poke through at sunrise.
