Crackling Canyon
The grand canyon is obviously a beautiful place to visit if you've never been. This day turned out a little on the scary side quite frankly and we had to pull the plug early on our trip. It might be obvious from this picture why, however, what's not obvious is the wind and rain in this picture. Standing on the edge of a drop that would surely kill any living thing, and battling 75mph+ winds that could knock a grown man off his feet at time was tough shooting conditions to say the least. In addition I had to take around 500+ photos to get this shot & another that I'll probably end up posting.
It's approaching twilight here and this is a single shot. I was able to boost the shadows here using a time lapse even though at this time it was virtually dark. The lightning bolt helped to light up the canyon.
