Another archive photo tonight, one of many Mercedes C320 Avantgarde Saloon Traffic cars we used to run. It is seen here in early 2003 outside the Operations Division at Aykley Heads HQ when it was brand new.
These cars were very unusual for the fleet, firstly for being Automatics, when previous cars were manual. It was also a new type of car as BMW and Volvo previously had the Traffic Car contracts, but these proved very popular for their agile handling and ease of driving with them being Autos. It was in service until 2008 when it was replaced by a new BMW 530d.
Vehicle details: Mercedes-Benz C320 auto Avantgarde Saloon
