Impala Ram in Rutting Season A

The alpha ram gets little rest during the rutting season. He has to keep his herd in check and also vend off suitors showing an interest in his ewes. This consumes a lot of its time and it neglects to eat enough. They will eventually lose condition and those same suitors will be able to defeat him in a jousting match and will then take over as the herd leader.
