Cloudy Night on Red Hill

Despite clouds coming in I headed out to Red Hill just south of Leigh Creek to see what I could get! I don't use the Sigma 40mm Art as often as I would like because usually I have a close foreground object, and it will be out of focus with the stars in focus. But here it didn't matter and 40mm was a good framing for the distant hills. This is a vertical panorama consisting of 6 shots. One 60 second shot for the foreground, then 5 shots of the sky. This is more than I owuld usually take with much more overlap, I know from experience that PS really struggles with clouds, but it worked out, even tho the amount of some frames it used was actually tiny. There was thin cloud as well as the obvious cloud, this made the bright stars stand out, an effect I really like. Processed with DXO PureRaw4, then PS.
