Rescued Orion
I thought I could have another go at the Orion Nebula and the Horsehead Nebula as in the moring it is getting high enough to photograph over the roof in the bck yard. After getting my framing and starting a planned sequence it went wrong straight away as the targets started to move behind a satellite dish. And when I checked my shots later, everthing from the other camera was out of focus (must remember the Canon 300mm f2.8 shifts focus when the orientation is changed!) So I only had one useable 12 minute exposure from the D810A and 300mm lens. This is cropped for framing but also to remove the satellite dish! Yes, I know the bright part of Orion is overexposed, but I actually like this look.
