The 0700 yard job is almost done building their train at Stuart Street before heading down to the industrial sector of Hamilton. CN 1439 is on point, one of the last remaining GMD1s in service on CN at the time. This day in particular was one of my last times shooting one in action on CN. An equally classic GP9 can be seen sitting on the engine track to the right. Behind the local crew, a couple sets of new CN grain hoppers fresh out of National Steel Car wait to be lifted and sent out for their first revenue loads.
