The Corridor
With Detroit providing the backdrop "Corridor" VIA train 72 departs Windsor (Walkerville) station. They're about to enter CTC territory here where they will then be able to do track speed. At one time this location had multiple tracks with freight and passenger service from CN and Wabash/N&W/NS. It's also kind of crazy that the western terminus of VIA's busy Windsor-Quebec Corridor is 15mp/h jointed rail. The track on the left is the spur and switch back that Essex Terminal uses to work Hiram Walker Distillery which can be seen very far in the distance near the next crossing. Also of note 915 is still in its original "Renaissance" paint scheme. Pretty soon all 21 of VIA's P42DCs will be retired and replaced with new Siemens trainsets.
Train: VIA Rail 72 with VIA 915 (P42DC).
