Here’s a much better look at that red Checkout text over near the front left corner of the store, joined by neighboring Hallmark signage – pretty cool to see that here, likely original to the store (which, according to that article I linked to last time, opened no later than 1989), but still no different from the Hallmark logo of today! And it’s not just a sign, either; there is indeed a nice Hallmark card section present on the right-hand side of this pic. Interestingly, the Southaven store (the old location, at least) had an American Greetings card department instead, so I wonder which vendor was more consistent across the chain (or if any still have card sections at all?).
