SET 1 – HLT Remodel: 4-20-2023
Finally, as we prepare to step inside, here’s a close-up of the existing façade. Definitely a classic Target design here, and even though it’s had a number of new paint jobs over the years, it has never once been altered in any other kind of way, not even a reduction of the logo to just the bullseye icon minus the Target wordmark. Of course, as y’all would expect, that very reduction is indeed what was forthcoming with the remodel, as well as the addition of a lot more red – but I will say the reconstruction was different than I might have pictured, with a design I can’t say I’ve seen on any other Target stores. I think it turned out fairly nicely; I’ll be eager to get y’all’s opinions, too, once we get to the final photoset of this long-form series.
