Interior Mural

WEEK 22 – Principle Toyota of Hernando

Taking our attention away from the façade and glancing off to the left for a moment. I think my intention here was to show the monument sign along McIngvale Road in addition to the much larger, primary Toyota logo on the façade itself, but the angle of this shot also allows me to carry on a new discussion: what’s inside those windows. While I haven’t been to Principle Toyota yet myself, as we were viewing the building these several times in March I noticed that a very nice, large mural spans the entire width of the upper wall of the interior showroom. You can just barely see its left half if you zoom in really close to this image; I also tried to feature it as my teaser photo this past Sunday, albeit not very successfully.

It’s hard to make out, and having not seen it close-up I’m still not totally certain what all is included, but I have been able to make out local landmarks such as Hernando's newest water tower and a “Welcome to Mississippi” sign. If I’m remembering correctly, I think the Landers Center may be in the right half of the mural, and I want to say that’s even the Ole Miss football stadium at the far left, too. As y’all know, I absolutely love local flair elements like this – thanks, Principle Toyota!

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
