That one gradient wallpaper had to go and mess everything up

WEEK 5 – Cordova Super Target Closing, Set II

 

Poster talk aside, here’s yet another view of the totally deserted seasonal department. Here and in a select handful of other already-vacated aisles we’ll be seeing over the course of this stour (such as the one seen three clicks back, in fact), you’ll find that Target went and removed all the actual shelves from the gondola units, leaving them completely bare save for the pegboard wallpaper (where applicable). I don’t recall seeing a single aisle with the shelves just piled up near the base of the units, a la scenes like this that are typical of closing stores. That tells me Target must have immediately moved all the shelves off of the salesfloor and into the back as soon as they were taken down. I guess that’s just another way a Target closure is like no other…
