Revving Up
Last but not least, down in Hernando the progress on our new Prefinciple Toyota dealership has really come along! Construction crews have been busy working on this for months, and this view – from October 13th, 2019 – shows the traditional Toyota façade taking shape. Interestingly, the façade here doesn’t face the street (to the left of the frame) or the interstate (to the right) – instead, it faces due north. Guess that allows it to be seen from both the street and the interstate, although I’m not sure it will get them much interstate traffic since drivers will have already passed the Hernando exit by the time they see the building, haha!
The rest of the building has been taking shape in all-brick so far from what I’ve seen, in accordance with Hernando’s building codes, although the brick has been painted gray. Job listings have started to be posted online, so I bet they’ll open early next year. Per this article, they intended to open by the end of 2019, so that’s not too far off. The article also notes that the new Hernando dealership will serve as a relocation of Principle’s existing Clarksdale facility.
