SEARS Parts & Service
Even though Sears proper (and, by extension, Kmart) has departed the Mid-South, the brand name still lives on in a handful of places via Sears Hometown stores, such as the Sears Hometown in Olive Branch. However, the above-pictured Sears Parts & Service store in Southaven is no longer one of those :P I took this shot of the store back on March 13th, 2016, which, if I remember correctly, was a Sunday… yet despite the “Now Open Sundays” banner, the guys here basically told my dad they were closed. Genuine Sears service, there XD
The store quietly closed sometime in either 2017 or 2018; no one really knows for sure, since the parking lot was always deserted even when open, and to this day all the signs remain intact as if it could open right back up tomorrow. The only exception, ironically, is the “Now Open Sundays” banner. Even the Craftsman one remains!
