Pharmacy Under Wraps
Remodel, Week 16
As promised yesterday, here’s the continuation of my latest Sam’s remodel update. (And no, my classes are – unfortunately :P – not cancelled on this Monday; I simply write my descriptions the night before I post my pictures, haha!) We left off looking at the temporary pharmacy up by the checkouts; now we’re finally taking a look at what’s going on with the existing pharmacy in the meantime. As you can see – no surprise here! – it’s been taken behind a remodel wall. I had heard that the pharmacy was to be expanded into the neighboring tobacco area (which you can just barely catch a glimpse of on the left of this shot), but the shape of the wall seems to indicate otherwise, as it doesn’t really extend all that much further into that cage. For what it’s worth, though, the wall does seem to jut out a little bit more in the front than the old pharmacy counter did.
The inset pic shows you what the front view of the remodel wall looks like, as well as the ever-present (if ever-moving!) “Pardon our dust” banner. Underneath that and plastered in many other places along the wall were yellow sheets of paper frantically doing their best to reassure customers that the small pharmacy up near the checkouts is only a temporary relocation!
I would’ve uploaded the inset as a full-size photo, had l_dawg2000 not already posted the exact same shot :P I got mine after his though, so I pretty much knew I was duplicating it! I just wanted to be sure and show, as an update to his view, that the aisles had indeed been moved away from the wall to allow for the flow and passage of customers. You can also see that gap in my full pic here, too.
