Looking down aisle one...

WEEK 31 – Brinkley Kroger

Geez – I sure can write a lot, can't I? Looks like my shortest description so far for this album is seven lines in Microsoft Word. Thank you, as always, to those of you who suffer through my verboseness! :)

Wrapping things up for today, here's a shot from the bread department back down towards produce. Something I found interesting is the presence of curved walls beginning here at bread and rolls (see photo note). This extends from here across the rear wall of the salesfloor, resulting in similar curves at the back left and back right corners. Such rounded corners were a hallmark of this décor's predecessor (Bauhaus), and evidently were carried over into the wannabe neon era as well, if only at the beginning (more on that later!). But it's also notable that this store certainly was not originally built with those corners, and that the ones I just mentioned are the only rounded corners present here: in this view, you can see one of those regular, squared-off corners up in produce, in fact (see other photo note). Weird...

I hung around the bread section for a little while waiting to get this and the last shot, which also surely didn't help prioritize my ticking-away visit here. Like I said, if I could've taken more photos, I most certainly would've. But regardless, my remaining 10 pics are coming tomorrow, so stick around!

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
