WEEK 30 – Sam's Club Pre-Remodel, Set I
Diverting down one of those aisles (when it wasn't closed for pallet removal!), I was really happy to find this neat little gem still hanging on back in April 2016! This is another relic that looks to date from the chain's “It's a Big Deal!” era; it's a sticker that describes Sam's Club's return policy. I was reaching pretty far back to grab an item that was almost out of stock when I saw this on the shelf across the way. It was fairly tough to get a picture of, given that it's shrouded in darkness (...and that I had to climb underneath the shelving, lol), but I turned my flash on and managed!
The location of this sticker suggests that the red shelving “base” on which it is located was turned around at some point, likely to get the sticker to purposefully face away from customers. Sam's has always been smart by placing their pricetags within hard plastic sleeves adorned with magnets, so that the pricetags can be easily moved along with the products themselves. But back in the day, I guess they thought that having these return policies as stickers instead of magnets was a good idea! Evidently they changed their minds, though... I wouldn't be surprised if identical stickers are hiding away elsewhere around the club, either.
