Record Store Day
As we prepare to head back to Manifest Columbia for our weekly photoset this Saturday, here first are your weekly teaser photos, this one taking a look at one of the doorways leading to some sort of employees-only room within the store. As you can imagine, Manifest – being a record store – was a cool enough place that leaving a doorway like this completely blank like a normal doorway was out of the question, haha! Indeed, they decided to decorate this one in particular with four identical Cheap Trick posters, above which is layered a Record Store Day poster featuring a quote from Jeff Tweedy. Per Wikipedia, Record Store Day – for those who have never heard of it – is designed to “celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store” (italics mine), which technically Manifest is not, since they are owned by Trans World Entertainment. But still, with the status of record stores in general these days, I don’t really have a problem with Manifest taking part! As a matter of fact, I’m pretty certain all Trans World-owned stores participate in the yearly event.

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
