“Grading” the presentation
WEEK 33 – Toys “R” Us Outlet, Southaven
Moving further into the salesfloor now, here's a look at the middle portion of the store. For the most part, this store can be divided into three parts: the front, the middle, and the back. “DUH!!,” I'm sure you're all screaming at your computer screens right about now XD But my point in saying that is so that I can distinguish each portion from the others – for instance, the front of the store had mainly short quad displays holding special or seasonal merchandise; the middle of the store here featured a blend of half-height and full-height shelves, as the store transitioned into a more permanent layout; and the back of the store was exclusively full-height shelves. This gradation made for nice sightlines.
