Personal Project initial ideas and apartment building designed in Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop pursuing the isometric art style. Although basic I am working on several more intense pieces that I aim to bring together to recreate my home town in this cartoon like isometric style as well fictional buildings that I am designing for personal enjoyment.
Prior to finding interest in Isometric Art from looking at surrealist artist Paul Noble and the Googie architectural movement I was never interested in architecture or even sketching buildings. However from exploring artists such as Noble I have taken rather fondly to the idea of toying with buildings and sought to recreate the Brutalist buildings of my hometown, Hastings with playful and intricate color schemes/ pallets. Other experiments with my isometric pieces are to use textures taken from the buildings and to super impose them upon the pieces. I am here to reinvent the environment around me and I will experiment to find what works best aesthetically.
