Chatwick University Criminology Department
12 th West
What does one do with a quiet glen that was once the scene of a brief 2 day skirmish during the Wars of the Roses?
One builds a golf club, of course.
Many dusk bound golfers and twilight lovers strolling about have reported hearing sounds of knightly battle and also seeing ghostly figures moving about in the shadows of trees
Flights of fancie?
These Pictures are from the 4 par 12th, and dog legged par 5 13th lanes.
The course is within walking distance of the University and is a welcomed, albeit challenging, diversion for Faculty, Students and Guests.. It is also a pleasure to walk about after hours and collect ones thoughts from the day.
I posted these in particular, for whilst I was wandering about, snapping me picts I swore I could hear the far off sounds of swords and pikes clashing, and the moans of men in despair. While standing quite alone on the 13th green I swear I saw movement in the trees, figures? I quickly snapped my camera, but on later investigation could make out nothing supernatural captured in the surrounding gloom….
Flights of Fancie indeed!
