Party@theQuad and All-Staff Photo

In June 2018, following a few years of construction, SLAC re-opened its freshly landscaped main quad, celebrating with a full lab group photo and ice cream party. The new quad landscaping was generously donated by Stanford alumnus John Arrillaga and features new grass, stone pathways, and a central fountain ringed with tables and benches. The quad connects SLAC's central office buildings that house many of its research and administrative functions. More than 1,400 people work at SLAC, along with nearly 300 postdoctoral researchers and graduate students.
