SLAC Gets Sporty at First 'Nerd Bowl'
Facebook ultimately prevailed the first "Nerd Bowl," a flag football tournament organized by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and hosted at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. Eight "Nerd Bowl" teams from four bay area science and technology institutions met on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 at Stanford University's Arrillaga Recreation Center (ARCAS) at SLAC. The sun was shining, and the competition was fierce.
Livermore Lab designed the champion trophy, which will reside at Facebook until the next tournament.
