Pharmacy // 藥店

Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the biggest tourists’ hubs in metropolitan Hong Kong, with many restaurants, shops and museums located in this area to cater for tourists. Given the nature of this particular area, TST is an established and modern part of Kowloon.

As a result, LED lights is the predominate light source for shop fronts due to its evolving technology, efficiency, low energy output and cheaper maintenance costs. Due to the benefits of these lights, it starts to become clear as to why entire shop fronts are embellished with LEDs as a means to attract locals and tourists.

Shown, is a pharmacy selling traditional and modern medicinal products. It becomes clear that the utilisation of LED lights does not reflect a type of business culture, but however, is used purely to attain the attention of people since the lights are comparatively cheaper than neon lights.
