D6142 at Inverurie Works
Ex-works North British class 21 No.D6142 in the works yard at Inverurie during a railfan's visit in May 1966. Built by the North British Locomotive Co. (works No.27946) and delivered in March 1960. At this time it was a 61A Kittybrewster-allocated locomotive. Despite being put through works and receiving a new coat of Brunswick green paint, it was withdrawn from service just 18 months later, in December 1967, and disposed of by J. McWilliam, Shettleston, Glasgow, during October 1968.
