BRUSH and BRUTES

Even a Sherlock Holmes lookalike appreciates 'Stratford's finest' at London's Liverpool Street. 47571 waits to leave on a Norwich service with sisters 47566 behind and 47569 on the stabling point. Station pilot 08527 is also lurking under the fine overall roof, which at this time was receiving restoration work. This was the scene on 20th April 1985, shortly before the switchover to electric from diesel traction on the Norwich services.
