Farewell to B.R. Steam

The "Farewell to B.R. Steam" 1L43 rail tour upon arrival back at Manchester Victoria on 28th July 1968, the 8F 48773 having worked the leg from Rose Grove, via Copy Pit, Bury and Bolton. The station pilot, D5209, is glimpsed between the awning supports. The '8F' was detached from the special charter here, and the train was taken forward to Stockport, via Ashburys and Romiley by a Brush Type 4.
