HST Flashback

With the last HSTs working LNER East Coast services on Sunday 15th December and the LNER commemorative tour taking place as I upload this, now is a good time for reflection, to almost forty years ago. On 26th July 1980, Inter City 125 HST 254032 (with power car 43119 leading) gets underway from York for London King's Cross, then an everyday scene. Stabled in the down through road is Derby Class 114 unit Nos.56013-50026.
