Bulleid Departure
In true Bulleid Pacific style, 35018 'British India Line' momentarily 'loses its feet' upon departure from York heading the 'Scarborough Spa Express' on Thursday 19th July 2018. The spectacle of the occasion, enjoyed by enthusiasts and the public alike, was as much a part of this experience than the resplendent locomotive itself. The reactions and expressions of the rail travellers and the smoke-filled arched overall roof for me just adds to this memorable experience, shared with my 86-year old father-in-law standing beside me on the platform.
