Amtrak 658 and 180 on 43, Overbrook, 2016-03-06

With ACS-64 658 leading the General Electric diesel P42DC 180, Amtrak's train 43, the westbound "Pennsylvanian," roars through the curve at Overbrook, Pennsylvania. Engineer John-Paul Fiorentino is at the throttle, and gave the waiting railfans a beautiful "shave and a haircut" on the airhorn. With Amtrak's Advanced Civil Speed Enforcement System (ACSES) system for positive train control now live on the Keystone Corridor, the Cities Sprinter ACSES-equipped locomotive is in charge. It will be pulled off in Harrisburg and the diesel will continue on Norfolk Southern's Pittsburgh Line for the trip into Pittsburgh. 2016-03-06.
