For this photo, I really liked the simplicity in shapes of the avocado and its seed. I thought the combination of the seed in the foreground and rest of the avocado in the back was pleasing to the eyes as well. To take this photo, I set up two poster boards in front of a window near the front of my house. Then, I tilted the blinds of the window up a little ways to help bounce the light off the roof. In editing, I did not do much, only took some of the yellow out of the avocado and boosted the lights throughout the photo to make the avocado pop.

 

For this weeks question, I used the sun and blinds of a window to help light and create shadows for the photo. So, I decided to bounce the light of the roof to give it an overhead feel and achieve a small shadow and reflection of the avocado off the poster board. This gave the photo a simple shadow and a little more detail. Lastly, using only natural light made me move around my house to find the best lighting and create a little bit more of a challenge.
