Service to Honor

On Thursday, September 13, the Western New England University campus community joined with representatives of the University of Hartford and the Kindgom of Saudi Arabia to remember Jaser a-Rakah and Theeb al-Yami. The cousins from Saudi Arabia drowned in the Chicopee River while saving young children this summer. Family members traveled from Saudi Arabia, and received engineering degrees awarded posthumously to Jaser and Theeb.
