Milk jug ice ~
At the risk of ruining mystery, here's the scoop on this strange image: at Wincheck Pond's edge in a secluded location, a plastic gallon container with the top lopped off was left behind. It had started to blow around, so water from the pond was lapped into it prior to our recent freeze to keep it in place. Those contents froze partially, and for some reason the opening you see formed. What didn't freeze was drained and the jug was backlit against the setting sun, which was a peculiar and unpleasing pink (to me) so a switch to B&W seemed called for. Maybe too much information?
