Egyptian Evolution - 2

South Wales Transport has (so far) operated seven MCV Evolutions - AE08 DJZ, AE08 DLF, AJ58 PZN, PZO, PZP & PZR had the original style of bodywork mounted on Alexander Dennis E200 chassis, whilst Volvo B7RLE BU14 EGD carried the 'Mark 2' style. All were built after UK production had transferred to Egypt.

The four 58-plates were 10.7m variants and new to the company in Autumn 2008. They stayed until early 2014 when replaced by Wright StreetLites. The batch stayed together and were then operated by University Bus (Uno) of Hatfield until 2018.

This shot from July 2013 shows AJ58 PZP leaving Victoria Gardens in Neath when operating Service 251 to Cimla. This, and Service 252 via Westernmoor, were originally competitive strikes against First Cymru, but First Cymru subsequently gave them up. Both are still operated.
