Consigned to History

Stagecoach's Specialist livery introduced in early 2020 never really appealed to me, probably because of the shade of green employed - Ocean Green - and because green was a colour that I had difficulty associating with the company. However, with the advent of the latest Steel Blue corporate scheme, the livery is now being consigned to history.

Three Alexander ALX400-bodied Dennis Tridents in the West fleet (18420-2) received the green variation, presumably for contract work that they undertook when based at North Bristol depot. These were new to the East fleet's Peterborough depot, hence their 'AE' registration marks, transferring to West in Autumn 2019. After their days in Bristol, they transferred to Swindon depot and came out of service in July 2025.

My photo from May 2021 shows 18422 passing along Rupert Street in Bristol City Centre when operating a contract to the Amazon Distribution Centre at Severn Beach.
