Losses and Gains - 2

Following contract re-tendering exercises by Powys County Council and Transport for Wale , Stagecoach in South Wales has lost all of its contracts in the county to Celtic Travel and Williams of Brecon from September 2025. This includes the northern section of TrawsCymru Service T4 (Newtown-Llandrindod Wells-Builth Wells-Brecon-Merthyr Tydfil) which is passing to Celtic, who are based in Llanidloes, though who will be working with Williams.

New vehicles are anticipated in 2026. However, a number of the 12 MCV eVoRa-bodied Volvo B8RLEs in the Stagecoach fleet owned by Powys County Council (21351-62) are expected to pass to the new contractors in the meantime.
