Slumbering

I'm not a lover of depot shots, but given both the location and subsequent history, I'm including this one of Arriva Cymru's Aberystwyth depot taken in October 2011.

From left to right we have Optare Tempo 2862, Alexander ALX400-bodied DAF DB250 4091 (another of the three transferred to the South Cambria region for the 2011/2012 University Academic Year) and Solo 692 (aka JPR Williams). Also getting in on the action is ERF breakdown wagon 8410 (DSO 309T).

The depot and its outstations at New Quay and Dolgellau technically closed in December 2013 as a result of financial pressures. That being said, because the company had to give Ceredigion CC a required notice period to cancel contracted Service 585 (Aberystwyth-Llangeitho-Tregaron-Lampeter), the doors and Lampeter outstation didn't finally close until the following February, with three Pointer-bodied Darts staying to the end.
