Amongst First Cymru's contract gains from April this year is Service 320 (Talbot Green-Pendoylan-Peterston-Super-Ely-St Fagans-Cardiff), a one bus working operated for the Vale of Glamorgan Council, and previously in the hands of Adventure Travel.
Operated from Bridgend depot, the usual performers are a pair of elderly 8.9m Alexander Dennis E20Ds, 44907 and 44928. Whilst 09-plate 44907 is to standard Firstbus specification, 44928 is a bit of an odd bod. She transferred from First Eastern Counties in November 2022 and is fitted with distinctive gasket glazing. She started her days as one of a trio new to S M Travel of Harlow, passing to Ensignbus in 2012 and then on to FEC later that year.
Allocated to Swansea Ravenhill depot when first transferred, her Swansea and the bay fleetnames were removed upon re-allocation to Bridgend but without replacements. This is illustrated in this June 2024 shot taken in Cardiff City Centre as she turns into Wood Street to start the return journey to Talbot Green.
