Altered Images -1
First Cymru is in the process of refreshing its 17 Wright StreetLite Max DFs (63079-95) by applying the two tone blue and gold version of corporate colours. This acts as its "Cymru Clipper" livery for a number of trunk routes that feed into Swansea, though despite the 'X' series of service numbers used, are not limited stop.
The original recipient of the scheme was Ammanford-allocated 63083 in August 2021, after sustaining accident damage, and a concerted effort seems to be being made to repaint the remainder of the Ammanford allocation first. The eagle eyed will notice that the darker shade of blue is no longer being applied to the front dash panel.
The depot's Max DFs operate Service X13 (Llandeilo-Ammanford-Pontarddulais-Penllergaer-Swansea), which has its roots in Service 103, and was a joint operation between SWT, Rees & Williams and West Wales Motors, each allocating one vehicle.
Illustrating these is 63080, which is Swansea-bound when passing the Rasoi Indian Kitchen, just north of Pontlliw, in November 2021.
